The Senate is the governing authority of the University of Sydney. The Vice-Chancellor and Principal reports to the Senate, as does the Academic Board. The Senior Executive Group (SEG), Secretary to Senate, Director of Human Resources and General Counsel all report directly to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal. Seven Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) positions report directly to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, each with its own reporting structure [indicated in square brackets]. They are: Provost and DVC [Deans of Faculties, University Librarian]; DVC (Education) and Registrar [Director Student Administration and Support and Deputy Registrar, Director Institute for Teaching and Learning, Director Koori Centre]; DVC (Research) [Director Research Office]; DVC (International) [Director International Office, Director Research Institute for Asia and the Pacific (RIAP)]; DVC (External Relations) [Director Alumni and Community Engagement, Director Development, Director Museums and Cultural Engagement]; DVC [Head Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) Programs and Education]; Chief Operating Officer and DVC [Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Director Campus Infrastructure Services].
